Call for Submissions 2024/25

Spellerberg Projects is seeking solo and group exhibition proposals for the upcoming year. We are looking for individual artists or groups to participate in month-long exhibitions in our storefront gallery and events in our new upstairs program space. We are currently programming for late 2024 and 2025.


Spellerberg Projects is an art gallery and studio space in Lockhart, Texas, 40 miles from Austin. Our mission is to present a diverse array of contemporary art to the public and support emerging and established artists by providing a space for them to showcase their work. We are committed to allowing artists to experiment and grow in their practice while fostering a community that appreciates and supports contemporary art.



Eligibility

We invite artists of all mediums to submit their work for our open call. There is no fee to apply.

Please note that artists must be able to travel to Lockhart, Texas, for installation, deinstallation, and the closing reception. Artists should not have exhibited with us within the past three years.

Spellerberg Projects

Established 2016, Spellerberg Projects is an art gallery and studio space in Lockhart, Texas, 40 miles from Austin. We present exhibitions and public programs featuring local, national, and international artists at our storefront Main St Gallery, located at 103 S Main St, Lockhart. Exhibitions are visible through the window 24/7. We are open for gallery hours Saturdays, 11 am-3 pm and for receptions on First Fridays, 6-9 pm.


Marty Spellerberg is the Director. Jennifer Moore is the Exhibition Manager. Avery Michel is the Gallery Coordinator.


The gallery’s mission is to present a diverse array of contemporary art to the public and support emerging and established artists by providing a space for them to showcase their work. We are committed to allowing artists to experiment and grow in their practice while fostering a community of art lovers who appreciate and support contemporary art. In addition to traditional exhibitions, we host performances, lectures, and events exploring various artistic disciplines.


From 2018-2021 we operated Spellerberg Projects, Masur Gallery on the first floor of the historic Masur Building at 119 W San Antonio St, Lockhart.
